Counting Down The Days

Natalie Imbruglia always my favourite pop singer, yet Celine is still no.1 idol.
I check on Nat several video-clips and she is great. All her songs reflects in her videos, and they can be felt strongly, esp. 'Counting Down The Days.'



She sings my heart out. Now i understand it...
A song is NOTHING, if it can't be felt.
The power of it is the feeling and the thoughts inside, how strong it affects us. I wanna be like her too. I wanna inspire people, and it's never enough.

I receive a comment about my 7 original songs that i submitted for song-writing-competition. He said they all sound alike. I thought i need to try other directions, just like in advertising, art direction is important. Who guides me? None.

But it's not true. Now to think about the comments again...
Let's check Nat's songs. From 1997-2007, from her first album to the third. How has it change? I will say that they almost sound alike too; the style, the music, the rhythm and all.
Those things make it into her style, Nat's Music. Not others.
She's being recognized because of her own style of music. Should she change it then?
One should retain its originality, make it own copyright.
See how Britney has changed, starts with a pure and innocent look @ "Baby one more time" first album, people loves her alot. Gradually she changed her style, runaway from her POP-style. Keep changing, making her fans confused about the perception on her & her music. Who is she now? Do you know her as 'Baby one more time sweet girl' or one slut in 'I'm a slave for you' or etc.
James Blunt also keeps his own unique style, never runaway from his piano and guitar pattern that make it sounds so familiar in every of his songs.

Ya, i am counting down the days, just like Nat's song.

To pass this BA is the reason.
I am smiling for the reason.
I am crying for the same reason.
I am counting the days tonight because i want this soon to be over.

Once assessment is over,
I do not need a reason to smile or cry anymore.
I am counting down the days.
